/letter to Lawrence Ferlinguetti (sent with "the underdogs").
/personal message written in the 3rd page of the book censored.

"dear Lawrence,
there is something heroic about writing; we give the text the possibility of telling the truth! some day we’ll pay for so much happiness. writing is an obsessive-compulsive thing. like hunger, which must be sated, the writing of one more book does not bring an end to the longing. hence, it is the recurrent experience what matters. writing is dreams deferred, it feels like starving.
“LONELY OLD COURAGE-TEACHER”, sending you my book is a simple way to say thank you. it has never been published, and I don’t care if it ever is. just finishing it feels like the summit, or like my youth. we writers, we always rehearse the end of the world. this is it.

best,
L."
